The 12 Best Antiparos Hotels

Tags:

Adorable little Antiparos is a true Greek island gem and its popularity has increased by leaps and bounds over the past few years. Somehow a favourite of beach lovers, celebrity spotters and off-the-beaten path afficionados all at the same time, making the right choice among the many outstanding Antiparos hotels is essential for ensuring yourself the perfect island holiday.

Many people base themselves on Paros, Antiparos’ larger and busier neighbour, and just come across for a day trip. However, there are more than enough things to do on Antiparos to warrant a longer stay and this atmospheric little island is a completely different place early in the morning or in the evening after the day trippers have gone.

If you do decide on a longer stay in one of these great Antiparos hotels, the first choice you have to make is which area of the island you want to stay in. There are no cities on Antiparos and even the two “towns” could comfortably be described as villages. But they do offer more restaurant options than the Antiparos beach hotels and some people prefer the convenience (especially since they are still very close to multiple beaches).

Chora, or Antiparos Town, is the main centre on the island and the place where you will find most of the Antiparos hotels. It has a gorgeous harbour, lovely whitewashed old town, a Venetian castle and several beaches to choose from.

Agios Georgios, on the other hand, occupyies a peaceful section of the southwestern coast on the opposite side of the island. It has a pair of peaceful, scenic beaches, some fantastic seafood tavernas and a historic church with a view. Agios Georgios is also the main jumping off point for boat tours to Despotiko Island and the Antiparos sea caves.

Then there are all the beaches, most of which have hotels and apartments nearby. If sandy relaxation is going to be the main focus of your holiday, opting for an Antiparos beach hotel may be the way to go. Depending on the type of beach and style of Antiparos hotel you’re looking for, we can recommend several good choices.

12 of the Best Hotels on Antiparos

We find the vast majority of our hotels on Booking.com and they even offer a growing list of apartments and long-term rentals. Between the frequent stay discounts, thousands of reviews and free cancellation, it is very rare for us to have a bad hotel experience these days. For long-term rentals we sometimes use AirBnB but the guest fees are much higher and the cancellation policies are usually stricter.

Full disclosure, when you use any of these links to reserve or sign up for something, we receive a small commission which, of course, is greatly appreciated. However, your price does not change and we have only included places that we can honestly recommend.

Chora (Antiparos Town) Hotels

Most people choose to stay in or near Chora as it has the most restaurants, things to see and no less than 5 different beaches within walking distance.
